This project involved the comprehensive redesign of a spacious detached house nestled in the woods of the United States. The two-story residence spans 320 square meters per floor and features a double garage, a generous 60 m² terrace, and sweeping nature views overlooking the forested backyard.
Our assignment was to reimagine the building’s overall design and exterior elevations. The architectural character was enhanced with a modern wood cladding for the façades, complemented by traditional red brickwork at the base and around the chimney to maintain a timeless appeal. The connection to nature was further emphasized through large windows and seamless access from interior living spaces to the expansive terrace and backyard. This thoughtful redesign resulted in a harmonious blend of contemporary comfort and classic American home tradition, perfectly integrated with its serene, wooded surroundings.
This project features an innovative modular residential complex constructed from 40 standard shipping containers, arranged over 4 stories with 10 units per floor. Designed for speed and cost-efficiency, the building is equipped with four external staircases to provide optimal access and safety.
Each container unit measures approximately 12.19 x 3.05 meters (custom containers at 3.2m width for increased comfort). Every apartment offers modern insulation, efficient plumbing solutions, a double bed, a compact kitchenette, and a private terrace. The living and sleeping areas are flooded with natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass façades, ensuring a bright and welcoming environment.
The combination of contemporary design, modular construction, and smart amenities results in flexible, sustainable, and comfortable living spaces, ideally suited for rapid deployment in urban or semi-urban locations.
